I am a Reader in Mathematical Physics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics and am also the School's senior admissions tutor, if you are interested in finding out about any of our degrees please get in touch with me. I am a member of the Plymouth Particle Theory Group and in my career as a mathematical physicist I have carried out research in Barcelona, Mainz, Regensburg and Trinity College Dublin. Much of my research is connected to the physics of charges and the infra-red problem.

I regularly give talks to schools, including "Careers in Mathematics and Statistics" and "Maths with Bubbles" as well as talks on particle physics.

Outside of science my interests include languages (I speak German and Spanish) and bird watching. In Plymouth I often go to the Arts Centre (cinema, food, exhibitions).
