Robotics Lab
- iCub humanoid robot (in Plymouth from March 2009)
- 15 robotics platforms (including ER1 and AIBO mobile robots, and Mitsubishi and Lynx robotic arms)
- 22 robot-football robots
Computer Music Lab:
- 9 PCs + 5 Macintosh computers fully equipped for music and audio processing.
- 2 robots (manufactured by Dr Robot, Canada) adapted in-house for research into the evolution of music
- MIDI and recording equipment, including a 1 ProTools mixing desk, 1 Kurzweil sythesiser, 1 Yamaha module synthesiser and 1 Yamaha Guitar controller
- Various Sensor-to-MIDI and sensor-to-OSC interfaces for building new musical controllers using a variety of sensors
Brain-computer interface lab:
- 1 x completer 64-channel EEG sensing and analysis systems manufactured by g.TEC (Austria) running Matlab and LabView software for BCI development
- 2 x complete 4-channel EEG interface manufactured by Mind Peak (USA), for fast prototyping of BCI experiments
Natural Categorisation Lab:
- Eye tracker
- Digital microscope with 1 micron resolution (for in-flow imaging of water samples)
- Four-node high-performance computing grid
