Welcome
I'm a PhD Research Student (October 2009 - October 2012) in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) at the University of Plymouth working on the EU funded ALIZ-E project under the supervision of Tony Belpaeme. Within the sphere of HRI I am focusing upon the communication/expression of affect through non-linguistic communication via the vocal and gestural modalities. My research interests extend far beyond HRI, including cognitive robotics, mobile robotics (Humanoids, UGVs, UAVs, M/NAVs), computer vision, rehabilitation robotics, aesthetic design of robots, the very broad subject area that is emotions and artificial inteligence in general.
Browsing through this website you will find a detailed description of my research, as well as my professional and academic activities, list of publications and some more casual information about me. You can also find more information on the robotics research that is done in the various labs in Plymouth. For those that are interested in building robots as a hobby, there are useful links to suppliers of various components that are based in the UK. To do that, check out the resources tab. Hopefully there is something useful and/or interesting for those that have found their way to my site! Enjoy! ;)
