BSc (Hons) Robotics
An exciting and challenging course supported by Sony Entertainment Europe Ltd. This course was recently re-accredited by the IET, achieving the maximum score of 32/32. Built on our reputation in robotic engineering, with an emphasis on entertainment and consumer robotics, this course covers a whole range of applications from intelligent appliances and service robots to robotic pets and games. BEng/MEng (Hons) Robotics
Robotic systems are rapidly developing with innovations in both physical dexterity and behavioural intelligence. The impact on industrial and home automation is significant and this course will prepare you for the challenges offered by these exciting and varied technologies. This course was recently re-accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and achieved the maximum score of 32/32. The course is commended for the following aspects:

MSc/MRes Robotics
This MRes/MSc/PgDip/PgCert master course provides students with a broad understanding of the latest developments and issues in all areas of robotics. A deeper theoretical and practical knowledge in interactive and intelligent mobile robots is provided. This course is conceived as a stepping stone towards applied research in either industry or in academia. The course will cover theoretical and practical knowledge of control and design, interfacing between real-world devices, autonomous processing and valuation of acquired information, interaction with the user and intelligent decision making. Students will have access to a Robotics Club and other university courses, e.g. an entrepreneurship course, and will work on an innovative project inspired by the latest developments in technology and society. Robotics is a multi-skill discipline preparing the successful student to deal with future developments in distributed systems of sensors, information sources, actuators and human users.
