Workshop venue

The workshop takes places in the Stonehouse lecture theatre at the ground floor of the Portland Square building. A campus map is available (pdf), Portland Square is building 26 on the map.

AV facilities

The room has a lectern stand with a Microsoft Windows PC, connected to a video projector. Your presentation can be loaded from CD or memory stick. There is also the possibility to connect a laptop. Furthermore, there is overhead projection of slides and paper available, there is DVD and VHS playback, 35mm slide projection and for those who still master the art of writing with a pen, there is a flip-over chart.

Car parking

If travelling by car, please follow ‘City Centre’ and ‘University’ signposting within Plymouth. There is considerable redevelopment of the City Centre taking place and temporary signposts may therefore be in place. We are sorry but car parking is restricted on Campus and is not therefore available for delegates use. Car Parking in the nearby Regent Street public car park is available and tickets for a concessionary fee can be obtained from the Accommodation Hospitality office in Gibbon Street.

University accommodation

Delegates who have booked University accommodation may obtain the keys for their accommodation from the Accommodation/Hospitality Reception Office in Gibbon Street, at any time on their day of arrival (after 22:00 the keys are left with the Security guard at the Portland Square Building).
Breakfast is available, for delegates staying in University accommodation, each morning from 07:30-08:30 in the Robbins Refectory on the lower ground floor of the Robbins Conference Centre.
