Interdisciplinary Methods Spring School, Budapest Collegium, 2-4 May 2011
This workshop will train Fellows, and other summer school participants, in the use of methods of the disciplines involved in developmental sciences: computational and behavioural neuroscience, cognitive modelling, developmental psychology, and developmental linguistics. It will also include tutorials on advanced robotics machine learning techniques, as well as dedicated training on ethics issue for experiments with humans and robots. This School will be open to outside doctoral students and researchers. The programme of the meeting is available here.

Interim meeting for introducing new Fellows, Plymouth (UK), 13 September 2010
The aim of this one-day event was to allow all new and old Fellows to meet and discuss ogoing work in Robotdoc. The programme of the meeting is available here.
Cognitive Robotics Research Methods Workshop, Plymouth (UK), 9-11 March 2010
The first training event of the RobotDoC Collegium was held in Plymouth, on March 9-11 2010. This training session provided Fellows with a series of lectures and tutorials on research methods used in cognitive developmental robotics. The workshop syllabus included courses on specific robotics research methods, as well as general research methods such as ethics in experimental research, literature review, experimental design and English for academic writing. The workshop also focussed on the initial training on the robotics platform iCub, and machine learning techniques. This meeting also provided an opportunity for all RobotDoc Fellows to meet the Supervisory Body members and all the Collegium staff, as well the new RobotDoc associate Fellows. The programme of the workshop is available here.
Thanks to the support of the EUCogII (eucognition.org) network, six Travel Bursaries were offered to PhD students external to the RobotDoc Collegium. For this we acknowledge the support of the EUCogII action network.
