Short Courses, Seminars and Workshops

ACMC has been providing education, training and continuing professional development (CPD) for the composites industry for 20 years.   Another activity has been occasional discussion meetings/seminars (formarely known as workshops) which bring together key personnel to discuss the state-of-the-art of specific technologies and consider whether a roadmap for the future is appropriate.  Over 2000 engineers, technicians and managers have benefitted from our manufacturing-focussed workshops and short courses.

As well as courses at Plymouth, we have provided bespoke training for individual companies - our clients include British Aerospace, British Airways, GKN, British European (flybe), GE and Vestas Wind (UK).

Over the past couple of years, we have taken a sabbatical from training provision to re-evaluate our portfolio of courses in the light of industry’s changing needs, and to ensure we continue work in partnership with other academic and commercial training providers.

We are still able to provide bespoke training, and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.  Also, we would be particularly grateful for feedback, thoughts and comments regarding all aspects of education and training, and look forward to launching a revised range of courses soon.

We are also working closely with Paul Shakspeare in the context of the South West Composite Gateway to pioneer enhanced skills provision in collaboration with both industry and FE providers.
