Portland Square - 22nd October 2001.
Overview:

Latest view of Buildings A, B and C.

The steel frames for all three building have now reached roof level. The frame for Building C (in the background) is almost complete.

Building A:

Uncovering the foundations for the stair/lift tower of Building A.

This area has been used up until now to site a large mobile crane which has been used to lift this building's shear frame into position (click here to see pictures from 10th October). Installation of this key structural element has now been completed and the crane will not be required again. Work can now start on erecting the building's stair and lift tower - here you can see the tower's foundations being uncovered.

Bracing for Building A. You can also see that the floor is ready for a concrete pour.

This photograph shows the first floor of Building A. You can see that the floor is almost ready for its concrete screed - a mesh of steel reinforcing has already been laid out.

Building B:

Floor slab finished.

This photograph shows the finished first floor slab of Building B.

Building C:

Atrium of Building C takes shape.

The steel frame for Building C has now almost been completed. Some of the last steel elements to be placed were the beams which closed the western side of the building's atrium - here you can see one of the beams being manouvered into its final position.
