Introduction.
The site of the University's Portland Square development has been used as a project venue by students studying the School's ACAD203 Aspects of Virtual Reality module. A number of QuickTime Virtual Reality (QTVR) panoramas showing interactive 360 degree views around Portland Square have been created - each QTVR can be accessed by clicking on a number on the following photograph of the site.

Please note that you'll need to have Apple Computer's free QuickTime viewer (with browser plug-in) installed on your computer in order to view these QTVR panoramas properly. Each QTVR file is about 450 kB - which could take a minute or so to download.

The digital photographs used to create the QTVR views were all taken on Monday 12th February - the day that the site clearance commenced. The 'aerial' view shown above was taken from the top floor of the adjacent Mary Newman building.

After Demolition
