Panorama views of the Ebringtron Street Project.

Introduction.
If you'd like to take a closer look at the Ebrington Street development, then here's your chance. To get the best view you'll need to have a copy of Apple's QuickTime program (version 4 is best) installed on your computer - you can then use the
QTVR links below to view QuickTime Virtual Reality (VR) panoramas of the project.

If you don't have QuickTime then you can still get a better look at the project - use the Wide links below to see the VR panoramas flattened out into w....i....d....e pictures.

  • Please note that some of the files used here are quite big - the QTVR's could take a couple of minutes or so to download (depending on the speed of your web connection).

Tuesday 5th December 2000.
This panorama was taken during the installation of the second batch of modules - on a cold, windy and wet afternoon - typical weather in other words. You can clearly see the jib of the mobile crane which was used to lift the modules onto the roof; three new modules had so far been placed on the western end of the roof. Other tasks were also being undertaken - you can see the men working on installing fire stops.

Friday 15th December 2000.
These panoramas were taken as the last of the modules were being lifted into position. Part of the floor has now been laid; steelwork for the roof and cladding systems has been stockpiled around the site.
