| The University of Plymouth's School of Civil & Structural Engineering has been awarded £0.25 million by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to develop student learning material for national use in undergraduate civil engineering and building education.
The project, part of the Funding for the Development of Teaching and Learning initiative, plans to further develop Student Centred Flexible Learning which aids students through numerous areas of their course. "This is a major achievement for the University and the region," says Paul Murray, Project Manager and the University's Head of Building Programmes. "Winning this bid demonstrates both our commitment to the quality of the education we provide and the confidence that the Funding Council has in us." Dr Clive Williams, Head of Civil & Structural Engineering, says: "This indicates the excellence of the teaching and learning developed in the School over many years by our staff and it builds on the students commitment to learning at the School."
The University's School of Civil & Structural Engineering scored an outstanding 23/24 in the HEFCE Quality Assessments for Civil Engineering and Building courses. The School continues to be at the forefront of many national developments. For more information about the project, please contact: |
