| Research Hydraulics, particularly environmental implications of river engineering works (eg on hydraulic behaviour, geomorphology, etc). Applications of evolutionary computing to hydrological modelling. Sustainable river engineering - river restoration and rehabilitation using 'soft' engineering techniques. A grant application to EPSRC in collaboration with the University's Department of Geographical Sciences & Department of Biological Sciences and the Environmental Agency of English Nature is in progress. PhD registration pending. |
