The course is accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineers and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.
The three year course follows many areas relevant to the technology of marine systems. Its aim is to give you a strong understanding and knowledge foundation of the broad subject area needed as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer. The course concentrates on three main areas: naval architecture, marine engineering and offshore engineering. Within these subjects lie many modules including: sub sea engineering; ship design; marine structures; systems design; power plant and equipment engineering.
Year One: The first year - or stage - provides you with the supporting knowledge that designers and engineers need in the area of drawing and design as well as an introduction to marine technology subjects.
