This new course has just been approved. This is a logical development of the BEng(Hons) courses that are offered and is integrated with these courses. The MEng course offers additional broadening and some additional in depth study.

A key feature of the MEng is the Group Design Assignment in the final year. This provides students with the opportunity to undertake a significant design assignment while working in a team and operating in a manner which closely follows that which many of them will encounter in employment after graduation.

Applicants who expect to obtain 260 'A'level points or equivalent may continue to apply for one of the BEng(Hons) courses and if they do well during their first and second year studies they may proceed to the MEng course at the end of year 2.
Applicants who obtain 320 or more 'A' level points may apply directly to join the MEng course.
