is one of three Schools making up the Faculty of Technology. We also have close links with other Faculties who teach some modules on some courses.

has all its laboratories and classrooms located in three adjacent buildings near the Students' Union, refectory and the Library.

has a total of 60 teaching, technician, research and support staff who are dedicated to helping you to succeed on your chosen course

has approximately 800 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

has main areas of research in Coastal Engineering, Materials, Robotics and Control and Sustainability.

has a design studio and workshop facilities, in addition to a modern Computer Aided Engineering suite. These facilities enable us to use design as the link between the different areas of the courses.

received a rating of 4 in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise

NB: Some of these web pages contain Java applets, most of these are used for interactive calculations. Unfortunately these do not work with Microsoft XP Home Edition or with some XP Professional installations unless a 'plug in' is obtained - either by phone or download. Using Netscape as your browser avoids this problem.
