PRODUCT DEFINITION:

With the production of Product Definition and a well defined budgets the clouds clear and the outlook for the foreseeable future looks clear.

Low pressure: PD Product Definitions, Budget.

Clear planning and the production of organisational charts raises the pressure slightly across the region. Overcast areas in the design department as the team start to scope the project.

Cold Front: Fog in areas produced by an Increasing realisation of limited hardware provision within the company restricts vision.

High pressure: Gant chart Schedule, Flow Charts, Matrixes, Nomenclatures (naming system)...

PRODUCT DESIGN:

High pressure front moving in as the production evolves. Collection of assets proves more costly than expected, with video work being farmed out to third party. Increased use of freelancers clouds production issues in most areas.

Turbulence amongst the production team as targets slip. A major cold front increases pressure on the production as clients request increased use of new innovations, such as QTVR and MPEG video. The production becomes snow bound as budgets and timelines are reevaluated to include increased costs and design alterations. As the design progresses. Snow and sleet in most areas with increased pressure across the region as copyright issues raise their ugly head. Quality of original copyright free recordings prove inadequate, copyright of digitally remastered audio needs to sorted out , increased costs need to be discussed with client. Change of Technical Spec of delivery machines causes requires video drivers to be recoded.

EDITORIAL:

Skies clear slightly as editorial work proceeds. Production of scripts and the collection of picture assets continues with reasonable success.

Narration, voice overs and video shoots by trained actors help provide a sound foothold as other routes prove slippery and inaccessible.

TESTING:

Skies continue to clear and pressure lifts as first alphas are produced for checking. Overcast skies as clients criticise application speed. Alpha (check editors). Pressure lifts bringing clearer skies and some sunshine with showers in areas providing a very clear outlook as betas versions go into production. Printing CD and distribution to testers and platform testing continues apace. Pressing: Sunshine in all areas as master print of CD is finally pressed

POST PRODUCTION AND MARKETING

However cloudy skies persist in some areas as post production costs creep up. The late delivery of the product due to the earlier bad weather has meant that key market windows have been missed. There is some question about the expected sales. Some further showers across the region as sales remain low. Some bursts of sunshine expected as overseas markets look more fruitful.

And finally a low pressure area across the region with clear skies and bright sunshine. A small margin of profit is expected...
